Class 3 – Homework
At Woodfield Community Primary School we are trying to make most of the homework that we set online. All homework is aimed at improving pupils' key skills in English and Maths.
In Class 3, the expectations for homework are as followed:
- Read the school reading book with a parent or carer at least 3 times a week and children to have their reading journals signed by a parent or carer.
- Times tables will be set each week on Times Table Rock Stars and pupils will be tested on these once a week.
- Spelling homework will be set each week on Spelling Shed and pupils will complete a new list of words each week and be tested on these once a week.
- Pupils are to complete one hour of comprehension and reading skills on Lexia. To access Lexia pupils will need to insert an email address before their login details. Please use the email: [email protected]
All pupils have passwords for these websites in their reading journals. However, if a child loses their password please speak to the office or Mr Boyle.
If your child does not have access to a computer or the internet we are more than happy to give out paper copies. If you require a paper copy please speak to the office or Mr Boyle.
Story Time Online
With access to libraries, classrooms and bookshops limited for many, we've been busy finding some of the best online story times for children to access freely at home. The QR codes and links in the document link to story readings on Youtube and all of the books we've chosen are read aloud by their fabulous authors and illustrators.
