We expect the highest attendance and punctuality from all of our pupils, at all times. We support pupils and their families to ensure that excellent attendance is achieved. North Yorkshire Local Authority’s target for attendance is 97%;
At Woodfield, we are continuously working towards this target and our ultimate goal of 100% attendance for everyone. Absence in term time affects your child’s learning and personal and social development!

For Summer Term 2019, 46 children achieved 100% attendance. This is fantastic, a big well done! Six pupils also achieved 100% attendance for the whole academic year. We are very proud of you!
Central to raising standards in education and ensuring all pupils can fulfill their potential is an assumption so widely understood that it is insufficiently stated – pupils need to attend school regularly to benefit from their education. Missing out on lessons leaves children vulnerable to falling behind. Children with poor attendance tend to achieve less in both primary and secondary school.
