Change of Leadership
I hope you and your families are well.
I am writing to let you know about a change of leadership at Christmas. As you know myself and Miss Marwood joined the school in March 2020 with the agreement to stay for only one term. We are on loan from our permanent jobs in Bradford during a time when Woodfield has not had a Headteacher. We have now stayed five terms. After a lot of consideration, Miss Marwood has made the very difficult decision to move back to her role in Bradford from January 2022. Being a headteacher is not a role that Miss Marwood wants to pursue in the long term so for this reason Miss Marwood will leave Woodfield at the end of the Autumn term and return to Bradford from January 2022.
I will continue in my role as Executive Headteacher 1-2days a week to provide stability and continuity. A highly experienced Assistant Headteacher from Bradford called Miss Whyte will be joining Woodfield in January as the full time Acting Head of School. We are very confident this is a strong solution for the school. We also have 3 months to plan for this transition and we expect that Miss Whyte will be in school for most of December to ensure a seamless handover. This is a well-considered and thought out plan, rather than a very hasty change to ensure your children continue to receive the very best education.
I wish to thank Miss Marwood for all she has done for Woodfield and look forward to continuing to work with you all next term.
