YOU ARE AMAZING!
What a term that was - Lockdown, key worker bubbles, home learning, Weduc, Zoom, class check-ins and some sunshine to end the term! Thank you to everyone for working so very hard during our home learning, for all the encouragement given to our students and lastly for returning to school earlier this month with huge smiles, positive attitudes and continuing to support Woodfield.

- For the first 6 days after teaching ends, if a pupil or staff member tests positive for coronavirus (COVID-19), having developed symptoms within 48 hours of being in school, the school is asked to assist in identifying close contacts and advising self-isolation, as the individual may have been infectious whilst in school. The staff at Woodfield have been busy planning our Summer Term and we have some fantastic learning opportunities coming up both in and out of our classrooms. We will have Dave from’ I want to ride my bike’ back for Class 2 and Class 3, Bikeability for our Year 6 students and Lingotot will be joining us for a few weeks in the Summer term to teach our pupils Spanish. Mrs Hunter has also been very busy planning some activities and talks for our parents. We’ll inform you more about these when we return after Easter and we have more guidance from the government about events we can hold at school.
Upon returning to school, all Covid-19 guidelines will remain in place, please see them below.

Face coverings are not required for children of primary school age, so please do not send them into classrooms wearing one. If you and your family wish to wear one on the journey to school that is sensible but we ask you to take your child’s face mask home and bring it back when you collect them. If you use public transport to travel to and from school, please remember that face masks are required for travel.
All children are to wear school uniform as usual (no trainers or leggings please) and book bags and packed lunch boxes can be brought in from home – please make sure they are labelled with your child’s name.
The school kitchen is open and lunches will operate as normal. Please see the menu on Weduc and our website.
Breakfast club will be available from 8am, please email the school office to inform us if your child will be attending through the form on Weduc.
Parents and children are reminded that if they, or their child, are showing any symptoms of Covid-19 or you receive a positive test result you must not come to school and you must inform the school office immediately. If we feel a child is displaying symptoms they will be placed in a separate room in school and parents will be asked to come to collect them.
If you have any questions then please don’t hesitate to contact the school office email [email protected]
