Headteacher's Welcome

On behalf of everyone at Woodfield Community Primary School we would like to extend a warm welcome to our school website and hope that as you explore it you gain a sense of the enabling and caring ethos we foster here.

It is an immense privilege, as headteachers, to work with such happy, hardworking and polite pupils and welcoming, supportive staff.

Everything we do at Woodfield is underpinned by our simple yet ambitious vision for Inspiring Learning Together, and our parents and pupils, along with visitors to our school, feedback regularly on what we call the 'W Factor' - a quality we recognise and nurture in our pupils; a quality that would leave a positive impression if you were to visit. Building the self-esteem and aspirations of our pupils is what we do best and with the support of our whole school community we are committed to making a positive difference to the life chances of every child within our school.

We pride ourselves on our small and inclusive school, we guarantee every child is recognised for their individual qualities, which we enable them to build on. With three classes, including up to 30 hours nursery provision, we ensure our vision is realised from the moment we welcome families at the school gate each morning, to the end of the day when we delight in sharing the children's successes as they leave.

Choosing the right school for your child - one that is going to get the balance right in terms of care and challenge - is an extremely important decision; getting that decision right will reap rewards, enabling and developing successful lifelong learners and effective contributors.

You are warmly invited to visit, so that you can experience for yourself the quality and breadth of education for all children that we provide here at Woodfield Community Primary School - a bright, happy and welcoming school, with inspiring colourful and interactive learning environments.

If you are a prospective parent, we hope the information on the website is useful and informative. Please contact the school office if you wish to visit the school and we will be delighted to show you around.

Kind regards

Mr Mathew Atkinson                                       Miss Holly Whyte
